Origami Ninja Star (Shuriken)

The ninja star is known as "Shuriken" in Japanese. This origami ninja star is a true classic! Kids around the world have spent countless hours playing with this origami masterpiece, whether pretending to be ninja warrior on a mission having competitions to see whose origami ninja star will fly the farthest!

 

Steps to make:

1. Start with two square sheets of paper of different colors. Cut paper off in center line. Leave only half the paper.

2. Fold the left edge to the right edge.

3. Fold corners as shown below to form 4 triangles.

4. Fold as shown below until form like as step 5 picture.

5. Turn the blue model over.

6. Rotate at an angle until the model like as step 7 picture.

7. Place the red model on the blue model.

8. Insert the upper-left corner down into the red model and insert the bottom-right corner up into the red model.

9. Turn over.

10. Insert the left-upper corner down into the red model and insert the right-bottom corner up into the red model.

11. The origami ninja star is done.
